The ultimate networking experience for
influential women.

About The Brunch

Whether you are an entrepreneur, stay-at-home mom or career woman, EmpoweringHER provides you with the confidence you need to flourish. Empowerment comes from within. It’s your style, attitude, charisma, skills and poise that make you the woman that you are, we’re just providing a space for powerful women to collaborate and connect with like-minded people.

EmpoweringHER is all about acting on your own authority and being in control of your destiny. They say it’s all about who you know but sometimes it’s about who knows you…so this is the place that YOU need to be!

What you will learn

Each EmpoweringHER Brunch will focus on a different topic related to the empowerment of women. From finances to business plans, relationship building to parenting, our brunch series will cover it all.

We’re thrilled to host the 3rd brunch in our series on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Norfolk. This year’s brunch will explore the topic of self-care.  As women, we spend much of our lives nurturing and caring for others. This causes us to become worn out, stressed out and run down. It’s like “running on empty,” our brunch will teach you how to successfully refuel and take care of self!

The story behind the Brunch

A partnership between two women-owned companies is how the story began! Keisha Reynolds of K&R Communications partnered with Secoya Holmes of Bliss Event Planning to bring two amazing brunches to the community. What started out as two girls in grad school blossomed into two successful business owners, we figured, if we could create that same camaraderie among women in Hampton Roads, we could bridge the gap and build a tremendous sisterhood with like-minded individuals. With Secoya’s move to Japan and blessings, Keisha continues the brunch series and now has expanded into more areas by establishing EmpoweringHER, LLC – a women’s empowerment brand. Keisha’s motto is “It’s all about collaboration, not competition,” which is why she continues to share light and provide a place for women throughout the East Coast to network and build with one another. EmpoweringHER, the brand, is all about self-care, which is Keisha’s personal mission. This is just the beginning!
